THE AIRBOAT ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA
Welcome to the Airboat Association of Florida. The Airboat Association was founded in 1951 by a group of sportsmen and conservationists. We are one of Florida's oldest active non-profit organizations in the State of Florida. Our Association's primary goal is the preservation and conservation of all the native species of flora and fauna within the State of Florida, particularly, the Florida Everglades.
The Florida Everglades is Florida's most precious natural resource. It spans over seven hundred thirty four square miles and nearly stretches across ten counties. The Florida Everglades is home to over three hundred and fifty bird species, twenty seven varieties of snakes and reptiles, and over two thousand types of plants. The Florida Everglades is also home of the Florida Panther.
Although there are many pockets of dry land in the Florida Everglades that can be hiked, the best way to capture its unparalleled beauty is safely aboard an airboat. We welcome you to share in this experience.
The Airboat Association of Florida remains active by providing recreational and educational tours of the Everglades. The Airboat Association of Florida maintains a line of communication wintities and occasionally provides assistance during search and rescue missions.
