John " Lucky" Rock 08/27/32
ROCK, JOHN (LUCKY), 84, of Port St. John, Fl., died Monday, June 18, 2007. His wife Anna, of 62 years, and family were at his side. John grew up in Freeland, Pa. He enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served on the Destroyer Escort USS Rall (DE-304). John and Anna were married in 1945 and after his discharge moved to Miami. John worked as an auto mechanic and was involved in auto racing in the Miami area as a car owner. He was an early member of The Airboat Association of Florida and a lifetime member of the V.F.W. in Freeland. He was a lifelong lover of hunting and fishing and spent many weekends in the Florida Everglades and Big Cyprus areas. John is survived by his wife Anna, daughter, Darlene and son-in-law Lyle, daughter Kathy; grandchildren, Michael, Lori, Scott and Brian as well as great-grandchildren, Tori, Hunter, Ethan, Caitlen and Amber. Donations may be made to The Airboat Association or Brevard Hospice
